Description and Objectives:
Pediatric Ultrasound Today is a home-study course intended for cardiologists and cardiac sonographers who practice echocardiographic imaging of congenital heart disease in the pediatric patient. Ten lessons are included in the annual subscription. The general objectives of the lessons are to update and change the competence, performance, and knowledge of the subscriber regarding basic considerations in pediatric echocardiography, common problems in echocardiographic imaging, challenges in using echocardiography as a diagnostic tool, and recent advances in the care of the fetus, neonate, adolescent, and young adult patient with heart disease. Specific objectives that participants should be able to accomplish after the completion of an individual lesson in the series are clearly indicated in each lesson.
The learner's needs (knowledge, competence, or performance) underlying a professional practice gap in dealing with problems and challenges in pediatric echocardiography was assessed by written evaluations from prior enrollees, faculty, and Editorial Board members.
In accordance with the Standards for Commercial Support of Continuing Medical Education of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Pediatric Ultrasound Today will disclose the existence of any relevant financial interest or other relationship that an editor, faculty member, or other persons who may have a role in planning this activity has with any commercial interest. Each lesson will carry a specific statement indicating whether or not there is a relevant financial or other relationship.
Pediatric Ultrasound Today does not receive any commercial support for this activity.
This CME activity may contain discussion of unlabeled and/or investigational uses of agents not approved by the FDA. Please consult the prescribing information for each product.
